Anne Cronin is a native of Maine and lives by the sea in Belfast. Her watercolor paintings and ink drawings of land and seascapes have been widely shown.
In 2009, Anne suffered a stroke and works diligently to regain the use of her right side. An inspiration to her friends and fellow artists, Anne has continued to paint and draw, further developing as an artist and finding inspiration in the natural world around her.
“My love and respect for the natural world has always led me to enjoy painting the landscapes and plant life around me. I try to capture the beauty and character of nature by creating paintings and drawings that show the softness and tranquility of the world.
Using the medium of watercolor, I can create more of an impression of a scene than of exacting detail, and use its natural flow to help build the completed work.”
