Pottery: Clay Together
June 13 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm
An event every week that begins at 5:30pm on Wednesday, repeating until June 20, 2018
Much like our Mommy/Daddy and Me workshop this short 3-week clay class is for a two-person team (Mom/Dad/Aunt/Grandpa/etc. and child) or two adults who just want to do make something together. Playing should not stop just because you turned 18, right!
We are going to play in the clay and use our extruder to build one vessel. You will be able to choose which type you want to make. The first is like the picture on the left. The extruder can create circular or square tubes to create anything your imagination comes up with. The second type is to create coils to build a vessel like the turtle below or whatever you two come up with.
Creating a vessel in clay is a process; first we will create a rough version of the vessel, then finalize the details, fire it, glaze it, and fire it again.
